9/11/2023 0 Comments Arduino stopwatch timer![]() The sound will continue until button 1 is pressed to start the stopwatch again. So if button 2 is pressed two times, the speaker will automatically turn on and make a sound to warn the user that the stopwatch has restarted. The speaker will make a frequency wave or a buzzing sound when the stopwatch restarts. The pin for the green LED is pin 4 and the red LED is pin 7. When the stopwatch stops, the red led turns on instead of the green one. In this project, the green led turns on when the count starts, while the red one is not. One led will be on when the stopwatch is counting, while another will be on when the stopwatch stops counting. LED NUMERIC DISPLAYS AND MATRICES In this chapter, you will Use MAX7219 - based numeric LED displays Build your own digital stopwatch timer Use MAX7219. // Funshield Constants // Constants for switching ON/OFF constexpr int ON LOW constexpr int OFF HIGH // 7-Segs constexpr int latchPin 4 constexpr int clockPin 7 constexpr int dataPin 8 // Buzzer constexpr int buzzerPin 3 // LEDS constexpr int firstPin 13 constexpr int secondPin 12 constexpr int thirdPin 11 constexp. 2 wires are used to connect the Push Button to the Arduino. 11 wires are used to connect the 4 Digit 7-Segment Display to the Arduino. One led will be green and one will be red (or any other color). To create the 4 Digit 7-Segment Display timer, you will need the following: 4 Digit 7-Segment Display. The second button is connected to pin 9 of the Arduino board ![]() When the second button is pressed, the stopwatch will first stop, then if pressed again will restart the stopwatch. The second button (Button 2) will act as a stop and restart function for the stopwatch. That usually involves combining bits and pieces of simpler sketches and trying to make them work together. ![]() The project has utilized RTC DS1307 for time-keeping and DHT11 sensor for. It also displays real-time weather conditions with temperature and humidity indications as add-ons. 1: Prototype of Arduino and RTC DS1307 based Digital Clock and Alarm. Have fun with my simple and easy to make LCD stopwatch. The project is a real-time clock and allows setting alarms, timers and running stopwatch. Click upload button and your program should be running. ![]() Copy and past my code down below in your Arduino IDE. The first button is connected to pin 8 of the Arduino board Once you have mastered the basic blinking leds, simple sensors and buzzing motors, it’s time to move on to bigger and better projects. Connect wires to the Arduino and LCD like this (look at what SCHEMATIC is showing). When the first button is pressed, the stopwatch will start counting up in seconds. One button (Button 1) in the project will function as a start button to the stopwatch (before anything is pressed, the LCD screen will instead show the message "press the button" to instruct the user). The code of this project consists of three main things: You can download the code for this project via the file below or preview/copy the code here. ![]()
